Still in El Salvador, wondering how many people need to die before this country hits international news. Last night a huge storm hit the country. A bus was caught in a stream and led to a river, 31 people died in this accident.

Nosotros estabamos corriendo para ir al carro en el momento que comenzo el tormente. Despues de 10 minutos el agua en la calle ya toco al fondo del carro. Una manzana mas abajo se estaban undiendo carros, y la puerta de la universidad se abrio por la fuerza del agua. Pocas veces he visto tanto calles como rios..

Maar niks ernstigs in de persoonlijke sfeer. Alles is weer rustig, al wordt er wel voorspeld dat het hele weekend dit soort stormen voor kunnen komen. Ik hoop dat het maandag wat rustiger wordt want dan ben ik 12 uren onderweg van San Salvador naar Managua of Granada in Nicaragua.

Na een mooie week in Michigan en Chicago Illinois zit ik nu ineens terug in een leven dat ik 6 jaar geleden heb geleefd. Muy raro. Eigenlijk is niks hier veranderd zo lijkt het. Ik weet de weg nog, en welke bus ik moet pakken. Mensen werken nog op dezelfde werkplek, en zelfs ik blijk nog steeds dezelfde. Mooi is dat.

Q fieston q hicimos en Holland, Michigan para la boda de mi hermano. Lo pasamos muy bien alli. Y Chicago, q ciudad de puta madre. Me ha gustado mucho estar alli. Pero ahora volvi a una vida q vivi hace 6 anyos. En El Salvador estoy visitando viejos amigos, y ver donde me lleve mi vida ahora. A ver q pasa pues..

Otra vez mas me encuentro en otro pais. Despues de Belgica y Ucrania el fin de pasado estaba en Paris. Ya saben que no me quejo de esta vida. Ademas, mañana tengo mi ultimo dia de trabajo. Pues si alguien tiene cosas interesantes en las semanas que vienen, avisanme!!

Chernobyl

A city left to be overgrown by nature. Pripyat, less than 5km from the exploded 4th reactor of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Impressively silent and desolate Pripyat shows what effects this explosion did not have. Radiation cannot be seen so superficially there is nothing to be seen, but the geiger-counter shows that radiation levels are between 10 and 200 times higher than in Kiev, 110km to the south. This is the reason that people were evacuated from this area in 1986.

As an example town for the sovjet regime, Pripyat still shows how things were in that time. Not far from another example of a similar regime, Belarus, where things did not really change after the decline of the sovjet union. People are not free to say what they want and you can be sent to prison for no reason at all.

Chernobyl and the situation in Belarus are not to be forgotten!!
